our mission since 1993

Every client deserves exceptional service and smart, strategic representation

Our firm has been legal counsel for multi-generations of Cherokee County and North Georgia families through various stages of the probate process. Our representation usually begins by clients entrusting us to draft Simple and Complex Wills, Irrevocable and Special Needs Family Trusts, Power of Attorneys and Advance Medical Directives.

However, we have created a reputation as tenacious probate trial lawyers. We represent heirs, beneficiaries and named personal representatives in cases where there are allegations of undo influence, fraud, forgery, lack of testamentary capacity and breach of fiduciary duty. We have also represented heirs and beneficiaries in complex legal settlement negotiations resulting from decedents’ murder-suicide and wrongful deaths.

Regardless of the scope of services provided and hostilities encountered, our team strives to provide exceptional service and effective legal counsel to all clients.

Our clients routinely express that they have felt the burden of end-of-life decisions because a loved one did not create appropriate legal protections. Beyond just drafting documents, we take the time to educate our clients about all the tools available to protect their assets for future generations and how they can minimize the financial and emotional burden on their family. We meet with clients both in our office and at their location including medicalĀ  facilities.

Our team provides counsel at every step of the estate administration process, educating them on what to expect and anticipating deadlines and crucial decisions. Our level of participation is determined by the client’s need. By illustration, we are routinely requested to coordinate meetings with CPAs, oversee the sale of real estate, draft deeds and negotiate with creditors and manage asset distribution to beneficiaries.
